Exciting new features in ibaCapture 5.4

The new release of ibaCapture 5.4 brings new features, enhanced functionality, and important usability improvements for an even better experience.

New Features:

  • Storage Display Enhancements:
    • - Camera video storage overview: A new table provides a detailed view of storage usage for all cameras, including allocated storage, used space, time ranges, and delete times.
    • - Total used storage display: The camera storage settings now also show total allocated storage across all cameras, with a preview of pending changes.
    • - Default storage settings: Easily set default storage sizes for newly added cameras to simplify configuration.
  • Customizable display styles: Launch ibaCapture Manager with different display styles (e.g., full screen, enlarged) using new command-line parameters.
  • Camera tags: Assign custom tags to cameras and filter them in the server overview for efficient management.
  • Server name aliases: Use alias names for servers, making it easier to identify them in the ibaCapture Manager.
  • Startup delay for encoders: Delay ibaCapture Encoder startup after system boot to allow camera initialization when necessary.

Key Improvements:

  • Enhanced storage visualization: Improved graphical representation of storage usage, showing impacts of pending changes.
  • Usability enhancements: Automatic saving of configurations every 5 minutes and better diagnostics for GigE Vision Encoders in ibaManagementStudio.
  • Dynamic licensing: Real-time updates for WIBU license changes without the need for restarting.
  • Installer improvements: More intuitive service user pages and added shortcuts for easier access.

Bug Fixes:

ibaCapture 5.4 also addresses numerous bugs, improving stability in camera configuration, storage handling, and playback functionality.
